It's interesting to see that even in a specialty pro shop you sometimes have to make your own tool adapters with a welder. I love this kind of video, showing how bad things can get. It must be concerning to wonder if all the drill fragments have been removed from the cylinder before startup. In a general shop I suppose some would remove the head and ask the machine shop do the heavy lifting.

Hi OGS I have watched your video on the stolen recovered Range Rover which was grate. I have a similar situation with a 2022 Range Rover Sport Diesel/electric which I purchased from Copart in Germany. The garage is struggling to resolve the issue as they are telling me they don't think its much more than a software issue however they don't have diagnostic equipment specifically for Range Rover so they are unable to get to the issue. on their diagnostics only the telematics is showing as missing (it's the only visible item the thieves removed although its still in the car just disconnected) . They are now looking how to best get access to the diagnostics which can get deeper into the software of the car to reprogram and solve the issue. Any advice or recommendations on getting access to this software online or any other way? would be much appreciated

Just a poor, costly engine. Just avoid them and buy something reliable and easy to run, and maintain.

How much would a garage charge me for this sort of repair because I'm not confident to take take apart the car fixing the headlight looks pretty straight forward but the idea of un bolting parts from the car not so much

Before the belt fails fully they often "delaminate". Bits of belt material strip away from the belt. These often can be pulled into the oil system. One big symptom of this is a hard brake pedal. As the vacuum pump is oil fed the pump often fails before the belt itself. This is not always the case however. You can see the belt in the 2.0 panther engine via the oil fill port. In the case of front wheel drive transits, remove the air box and the oil filler tube. Use a mirror and light to see the belt. I have used a small plastic rod to see if the belt can move easily. If it does it is losing tension due to material loss. Replace asap. It is an easy job to replace but if you have had delamination before failure. You can change the belt but you also need to remove the sump, clean the oil pickup and then change the oil and filter again after a few thousand miles. It is very difficult to remove all contamination without a full strip down. Even a vehicle under warranty will not have a full strip down. Avoid fuel and oil additives. This also is known to affect the "wet" belt. I say "wet" belt as the belt itself is not submerged in oil. It is splashed with oil and has oil vapours around it under operation. Bad design. Good money for repairs

Hi, I had the timing chain replaced and I till have some rattle/tick once the car is started. It is much less than the video but still, I can hear it. Is this normal, do tensioners need second for oil to quiet down?

Thanks a bunch for this video, man! Last summer, I had a huge problem with my Trafic. A mechanic saved my engine with three seized injectors. But after that, two injectors burned out, and my mechanic told me I had to change the ECU, which I did. Same issue. Today I watched your video about a bad seal, and I went, lifted the hood, removed the plastic, and saw that my middle bolt below the windscreen was missing. The gasket was burnt from age, and by the dust, it was clear where water was flowing. And that was a eureka moment. My injector connections were swimming in water all the time. Thanks for sharing your work, man. You saved my van! It has been in my family for 17 years, 88,000 km... like new.

When you drilled out the broken injector.It looked like part of the injector nozzle was left behind....when you compared it to the other injector it was a lot shorter where the spray nozzle was..how did you retrieve the rest of the nozzle?.
